Carol Kachadoorian, MRP is a Senior Planner with more than 30 years of experience in transit and multi-modal transportation planning. Carol is a certified National Complete Streets instructor. Her project work includes pedestrian master plans, access to transit plans, and Safe Routes to School program management and travel plan development. Prior to joining Toole Design Group, Carol spent ten years working for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro). While at Metro, she led various customer-focused efforts such as planning for non-motorized access to the system. As the first manager of Alexandria Virginia's Office of Transit Services, Carol was instrumental in creating DASH, the City's local bus system, and DOT, its companion taxi-based Para transit service.

 

Jeff Reigner, Vice President of Whitman, Requardt & Associates, leads the firm's acive transportation practice and manages its Wilmington, Delaware office. His passion is transforming our communities by making smart transportation choices. Jeff is a professional engineer and certified planner with 24 years of transportation and land use consulting experience, mostly for public-sector clients. He is a workshop instructor for the National Complete Streets Coalition and past chair of the Institute of Transportation Engineers Pedestrian and Bicycle Council.

 

Mark T. Johnson, P.E., is a nationally recognized expert in roundabout design solutions. Using state-of-the art modern roundabout design principles together with 18 years of extensive traffic engineering and roadway planning expertise, the MTJ Engineering team has contributed to over 400 successful roundabout projects in 26 states and Canada, including many award-winning projects. Mr. Johnson holds the highest level of roundaobut certifications from the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Georgia; and Professional Engineering Licenses in 10 US states and Alberta, Canada, and is registered with NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying). Mark was a co-author of the revised 2010 FHWA Roundabout Guide, is an authorized FHWA Peer-to-Peer Roundabout Reviewer, and works closely with many agencies and consultancies across the U.S. on roundabout policy, feasibility analysis, design, design review, pedestrian facilitation, and public outreach/education. Mr. Johnson's roundabout experience includes project implementations over the entire range of traffic conditions and contexts, and forms the foundation for unparalled breadth and depth of experience.
