Transportation Infrastructure that Protects Communities, Historic Resources and the Environment

Incorperating traffic management techniques to promote safety and functionality for all road users, along with a vision for land use that balances the needs of local communities, businesses and the environment

PA Route 41

S.A.V.E. blocked plans to expand Route 41 to a multi-lane, high-speed, grade-separated expressway by demonstrating that Route 41 can be a safe and sustainable two-lane roadway. Yet much remains to be done to realize S.A.V.E.’s vision for a roadway that is safe for travelers, serves our communities, and preserves the exquisite historic and natural resources for which Southern Chester County is renowned.

PA Route 41 remains deadly, and PennDOT lacks a comprehensive plan for addressing the problems endemic to 41. We at S.A.V.E. are working to change this and see that PennDOT adopts and implements a comprehensive plan that ensures the functionality of Route 41 without compromising Southern Chester County’s exquisite open spaces, world-renowned agriculture and businesses, and historic character.
